Justine Howard raised over $1,100 with her second Shave for the Brave on September 23, 2016.
An average of 23 people in their late teens, 20s, and 30s are diagnosed with cancer in Canada each day. Things like school, work, relationships, and raising young families are put on hold as they quickly enter a new, unfamiliar world full of tests and scans, chemo, radiation, isolation, and facing the end of their lives just as they’re getting started.
On her online fundraising page, Justine said, “The courage and strength of these young people , of my peers, is something I deeply respect and admire. Getting a hair cut is just a little thing I can do to support them on their path to recovery.”
Money raised through Shave for the Brave supports digital, social, and professionally-facilitated programs to help young adults make the best of the rest of their lives after cancer. Visit Young Adult Cancer Canada’s website to learn more.
Huge thank you to Justine and everyone who supported her latest Shave!
