Ever wonder what exactly a Solo Shave is? Well, wonder no more! I’m going to highlight the ins and outs of a Solo Shave and reflect on some of my favorite ideas from the 2016 Shave season.
A Solo Shave is a private event held by an individual who chooses to not participate in a public event. A Solo Shave is held at the participant’s chosen date, time, and location. Whether there are no public Shaves happening in your area, or you just can’t wait to shed some locks, a Solo Shave could be just what you’re looking for! Here’s how to get started:
- Select the month you want to Shave and register here.
- Set a fundraising goal and start collecting donations! I’ll email you after you register to make sure we have all your personal details right so we can mail you your official Shave for the Brave toque!
- Set up your Shave! Pick the date, time, and location. You can book an appointment at your favourite salon or barbershop, or plan to have your family and friends over to your house for the “mane” event! Just remember to have someone there with some razor skills so they can give you your awesome new haircut!
- Take tons of pictures and send them to me! We love to see and hear all about the shaves that are happening!
Solo Shaves are what you make of them. You could host your Solo Shave at your next birthday party, family pot luck, or even at a baby shower! Maybe you can host it at your favorite restaurant or club, or at an event being held in your community. The possibilities are endless, and I love to see what new and exciting ideas Shavers have to make their Shave Day stand out!
So what are you waiting for? Register for your Solo Shave online and keep us here at YACC HQ in the loop about what you’re planning. We can’t wait to see what the 2017 Solo Shavers have in store for us!
