Four weeks may not seem like a long time. A month can pass in the blink of an eye. How many times have you looked at the calendar, and upon discovering the date, thought, “Where did the time go?”
The busyness of life and the chaos of the average schedule can make four weeks look like a short period of time, but a lot can happen in four weeks! Did you know that the gestation period for a New England Cotton Tail Rabbit is only 28 days?
Did you know that a sail boat can cross the Atlantic Ocean twice in a four week period? What an incredible journey that would be!
Did you know that the average person can grow half-an-inch of hair per month? Our Shavers are always glad to experience that phenomenon for themselves!
Did you know that it only takes four, short weeks to pull off an amazing Shave for the Brave event? True story!
A month may seem short, but four-to-six weeks is actually the perfect length of time to promote, plan, and prep a super successful Shave. When people engage in the Shave for the Brave, and their loved ones, schools, and offices get wind of their endeavours, it doesn’t take long for the support to start coming in. Pulling off an event like a Shave, in a short amount of time, may feel daunting and scary, but we are here to help you, every step of the way!
If you’re reading this after attending a Shave, you know how incredible they can be. If you have been wanting to connect and plan your own Shave for the Brave, there’s no better time than right now! Shaves raise money to help Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC) support Canadians between the ages of 18 and 39 who are living with, through, and beyond a cancer diagnosis. These young adults will be dealing with cancer for much longer than a few, short weeks but the YACC programs help them to thrive, no matter where they are in their cancer journey and no matter how long it takes.
Any cancer, any stage, YACC’s got your back!
So look at your calendar and see what you can accomplish over the next four weeks. You may not sail across the Atlantic and back, but you can definitely make a huge impact, right here on land.
