What is a Solo Shave for the Brave?

 Back to Recent News

Hi friends, Razor here!

A Solo Shave is something we talk a lot about, and given the current circumstances, Solo Shaves are much more popular as a way to participate in a fun, charitable event without leaving the comfort of your own home!

Solo Shaves are official, independently run events that can happen anywhere at any time. All you need to is shave your head or cut 10-inches of hair.

There are only a few easy steps you will need to take:

1. Register for a Solo Shave under the month you intend to shave, or email Brittany at brittany@youngadultcancer.ca. Once you are registered, you will receive an automated email containing a custom URL to your participant page that you can update with your own pics, videos, and info. You can share this link on your social media channels so friends and family can use this link to make donations to your Shave!
2. Brittany will connect with you to answer any questions you may have.
3. The next step is your event! Make this as fun and memorable as you want. You can invite friends or family, or host a virtual event on Facebook Live! The most important thing to remember is to arrange someone to do the actual cutting of the hair. You can ask a friend or family who is comfortable, or your hairstylist. Brittany will make sure your official yellow toque arrives on time.
4. Brittany will follow up after the event to see how it went and to arrange the collections of any funds you may have.

The most important thing to remember is to have fun! We will be here, cheering you on every step of the way. If you have any more questions please feel free to reach out.

Have the best day!
